MiniVan Mom

I am now officially a mini-van mom :-) Last Thursday night we bought a new vehicle. It is really nice - the kids just love it. It has 2 dvd players and one up front if the vehicle is in park. Wireless headsets, plug ins for their xbox if they want, leather, 2 rows heated seats, back up rear view camera and all sorts of things. I know some of my friends are anti-minivan but it really is nice!

Ryan's favorite part is the dvd player. He usually sits in the way back.

1st Day of School

Today was the 1st day of school for Ashley & Ryan. 5th grade and 1st graders now! Here are a few pics from this morning.

They both had a great day today and are excited to go back tomorrow. Ryan said he played girls chase boys at recess (he said he never gets caught because he is too fast) and Ashley got to sit right next to and have a locker next to Kendra, her best friend.

August Weekend

On Thursday night Daddy left for a show in Indiana. So mommy tried to keep 3 kids entertained for the weekend, I got a lot of help from Aunt Rachael and Gramma & Grampa.

On Friday night Mommy, Ash & Ryan went to Star Wars! It was great. On Saturday we played miniature golf and went to the park. Then on Sunday we had a picnic at the park. Here is the group at the picnic. Look we even got Star Wars happy meals :-)

What a great weekend. Daddy did great and had 2 pigs place 1st. We can't wait to see him, I'm sure he will be very tired!

Spring Lake

Today mommy got the afternoon off so we all went to the park. Even Honey got to go! It was beautiful.

Week of Firsts

This week Jacob got his first taste of home grown Sweet Corn! He wasn't quite sure how to eat it but did manage to get a few bites. Mostly licked the butter off the corn. That's pretty good too.

As you can see from this picture and the picture above someone needs a haircut! So today Jacob got his 1st haircut! Mommy had to hold him, otherwise he would've been out of that salon. The lady had to cut really fast.

And since Jacob and mommy got their hair cut Ashley decided to at the last minute and ended up cutting 5-6 inches off!! It looks SO cute on her.
