Ashley's Softball Team

Here is Ashley's softball team. They had their tournament on Saturday and got 1st place!! They beat Hinton and Kingsley. Great job girls!

And this is what Jacob did to occupy his time while Ashley was playing. We try to keep him in the car for as long as possible because we can't keep up with him when we let him loose outside. Then he screams and cries when we try to keep him sitting and watching the game.

I know - not the smartest thing in the world to do letting him swing on the steering wheel but I guess what ever works...

Ryan's Baseball Team

Tuesday was the last game of Ryan's baseball team. They were quite a group. Very full of energy! Here's the team.

2008 World Pork Expo

2008 World Pork Expo in Des Moines

Ashley and Ryan got to show pigs for the 1st time. Even Honey got to go for a couple of days. Ashley got 2nd, 5th and 8th place. Ryan got 9th place. Daddy got Grand Champion Spot Boar and Reserve Champ Duroc. His boar sold for $9000 to a boar stud and another boar stud followed him home on Saturday and bought 3 more. Daddy was pretty happy.

I took the kids to the Machine Shed for dinner one night. We had a great meal!

This is Ryan's 1st year of baseball. Daddy is the coach and mommy helps in the dugout. We have found that the boys are a little more challenging to coach than the girls. They have a lot of energy.

Miles Christopher Simonsen

Meet my new nephew! Miles Christopher Simonsen was born on Thursday, June 5th at 7:55 a.m. He was 7 lbs 6 oz and was 20" long. He looks like an angel and Becky said he is sleeping like Sophia did for them (they have to wake the baby up instead of the other way around). We can't wait to meet you Miles!!
