Living History Farms Race 2008

Living History Farms Race 2008
Here's Team Bunt
The runners before the race.
Aunt Candi finishes first out of the Bunt Team. She placed 35th out of 7500 runners and got a medal. Brad comes in 1 minute later placing in the 100s.
He looks pretty good after the race though!
Here's a picture of what they ran through. There were 9 creeks total and hills and fields.
And here's Dad. He looks pretty tired, or something.

But he manages to finish the 7 mile cross country race!
And here are the 3 kids. Let me just say, they are a handful sometimes!
Here's Jacob sitting out by the pool.
And here's baby Miles.
We took the kids to the Science Center.

Happy 2nd Birthday Jacob!

Tonight we celebrated Jacob's 2nd Birthday. Hard to believe it's been 2 years.
Grandma Terry made an amazing cake (as she always does). It was a train that had all of our pictures on the sides, a tractor in the middle with Bappa driving it and Jacob up front as the engineer. The tractor didn't last very long on top of the cake, Jacob wanted it right away. Thanks again Grandma Terry!

Loving the cake!

Surprise!!

Uncle Brad's Surprise

On Saturday we all went to Ruthven to Uncle Cory & Aunt Sandy's Christmas Tree Farm to help decorate and get ready for the season. When we walked into the barn - Brad was there!!! What a surprise! He had driven all night from Oklahoma City, to Rachael's and then they drove over on Saturday.

Here's dad finally figuring out it was actually Brad he was seeing.

Christmas Tree Farm Creations

I just added a new link to my favorite links list: www.christmastreefarmcreations.com
It's my Uncle Cory's new website. He does amazing custom wood laser gifts - you'll have to take a look. He has some really neat things. Great ideas for christmas presents. He has more products to add, we just started the site so keep checking back.

Also check out my mom's website: www.quiltnkaboodle.com
This is her quilt store that she co-owns with Kim Barrett. They have a really great store - for all of you quilters! :-)

Ring of Success Texas Pig Sale

On Thursday night we left for Plainview, TX for the Ring of Success Pig Sale. Daddy did AWESOME and got Grand Champion Spot, Duroc, & Landrace barrows and Grand Champion Duroc Gilt which then went on to win the Overall Grand Champion over the whole show!! At the barrow sale yesterday Daddy was presented with a big texas belt buckle for having the champion. The sale went great and the pigs sold really good. It was a long trip but well worth it. Here are a few pictures....
On our way through Oklahoma City we met Brad for breakfast. It was so good to see him!! We sure miss him. Doesn't he look GREAT!!This is our pig man. He was hauing pails, hitting pigs with sticks and watering them all day. He just loves to be in with the pigs.

Here's Jacob showing his very 1st pig! This was one of the very last pigs to sell for the day so the crowd is really small but for most of the sale it was standing room only.
We're almost home!!!!!

Here's the belt buckle that daddy won for Overall Grand Champion. Ryan can't wait to take it to school tomorrow. :-) Now daddy can fit in with all the Texans with their belts. ha ha

Miles Baptism

This weekend Ashley, Jacob and I, along with Great Grandma Shirley made the journey to Minnesota for baby Miles baptism. Here are some pictures we got.
Ashley reading to Sophia
The Godparents - Lon and Rachael with baby Miles
Ashley with baby Miles. She is such a great helper and so good with the little ones!
We tried to get a group picture, this is as good as we could get. They don't sit still for very long!
Sophia and Jacob - he would rather be on the floor playing with the farm animals and tractor.
