Happy 10th Birthday Ashley!!

Look what Ashley got for her birthday - a golden retriever puppy she named "Honey". Isn't she beautiful!

The puppy really liked Jacob and chased him around. Jacob would shake his finger and say No no puppy to him.

Ryan got to go to Wisner, NE to pick out the puppy with Daddy. He called to say we should "Keep her forever" when he called me to tell me he got one.

Here are the cakes Grandma Terry made. Aren't they great! The kids said she is the best cooker in the entire world. I would have to agree.

And as always here's Jacob enjoying the cake :-)

It was a great birthday. Grandma Jackie and Grandpa Bill, Grandma Ruth, Aunt Debbie, Grandma Shirley, Gramma Ginny and Grandpa Mike, Grandma Terry and Bappa and Rachael drove all the way from Sheffield just for the party. Thank you everyone for coming. It was a great day.

Last Day of School

Friday was the last day of school. They had a track meet until 11:30 then got the rest of the day off. The weather was terrible and Jacob and I would run down to watch their event then run back to the Trailblazer to get out of the wind. It was freezing. They did pretty good and had a lot of fun.

Weekend at Rachael and Lon's

On Saturday morning we left to go stay at Rachael & Lon's house in Sheffield, IA. Here we had just arrived and were greeted by Tonka and Kaiser, their 2 St. Bernard dogs. Rachael had to pen them up so we could get out of the vehicle. After that they settled down and were able to be loose. Ashley had so much fun playing with the dogs.

Sure enough we weren't there more than 10 minutes when Jacob found the closet her vacuum was in. She had a door sized mirror on that closet and I thought he was looking at himself but he somehow knew that was were the vacuum was. He had it out the entire time.

We went to a lake and had a picnic. Here are Ash & Ryan finding snails and snail shells.

The lake had a really cool dam. The kids just loved it.

We had a really fun time - thanks Rachael and Lon!! And if you ever need to break into a vehicle, just ask Lon. (the keys got locked in my vehicle and he got us unlocked) :-)
