Pumpkin Carving

Today we attempted to carve pumpkins. Ashley loved cleaning out the pumpkins and Ryan wouldn't touch it. We found the pumpkin tatoos are quite a bit easier than the actual carved pumpkins :-) We had a fun time!

Daddy has been in Texas all weekend for another pig sale. We are excited to see him back tomorrow!

McKenna and Jessica Visit

On Saturday Jessica and McKenna Claborn from Minnesota stopped by. They were in the area to go to a baby shower in Pocahontas, their old hometown. Here are a few pics from the visit. It was great to see them :-)

Texas Trip

This past weekend Ryan, Mark and I took pigs to the Plainview, Texas Ring of Success Sale. It was a LONG drive! It took about 15 hrs to get there and then we drove home right after the sale. Ryan was a Great help to daddy and helped him show some of the pigs and get them all ready. He also showed them to the people looking at them in the pens. The sifter didn't care for Mark's pigs - he got 3 Reserve Champs and the others placed in the top 10. But he had the top selling Duroc, Spot, and Landrace at the sale and his cross placed 7th out of 300. So even though there were no Grand Champs the people at the auction really liked them! :-) We are all glad to be back home with Ashley & Jacob.
