Week of Firsts

This week Jacob got his first taste of home grown Sweet Corn! He wasn't quite sure how to eat it but did manage to get a few bites. Mostly licked the butter off the corn. That's pretty good too.

As you can see from this picture and the picture above someone needs a haircut! So today Jacob got his 1st haircut! Mommy had to hold him, otherwise he would've been out of that salon. The lady had to cut really fast.

And since Jacob and mommy got their hair cut Ashley decided to at the last minute and ended up cutting 5-6 inches off!! It looks SO cute on her.

Happy 2nd Birthday Sophia

Becky came to visit and brought new baby Miles and Sophia. We celebrated Sophia's 2nd birthday at Gramma Ginny's house. Here are a few pics.

Fishing with Daddy

Last Sunday Daddy and Ryan went down the Little Sioux River fishing. Ryan caught the biggest fish!

VBS

Vacation Bible School - last week was also VBS. Here is a picture from the Friday night program. Ryan is right in the center, Ashley was hidden in the back row.

Ryan Swim Lessons

Ryan had 1 week of swim lessons last week. He did Great! Last year we had to literally throw him in the water, he did not like lessons and this year he was learning strokes and going off the diving board!

Barn Quilt

For Grandma Terry's Christmas present The Boothby's and us got her a barn quilt. Grampa Mike (Bunt's Barn Quilts) made it for us and a couple of weekends ago we got it hung up. The design was one Grandma Terry came up with - we think it looks great!!

4th of July 2008

4th of July Weekend

We had a wonderful weekend. It started with Daddy taking Ash & Ryan in the boat down Millcreek. They had lots of fun and no one ended up in the water this year.

Then there was a Hurd Family Reunion. That afternoon there was a picnic and the kids had a ball. They had a water slide, gator, 4wheeler, and even horse carriage rides. Here's Ryan having a great time on the water slide.

On Saturday night everyone met at the Bacon Aquatic Center in Cherokee. Here is Jacob and Mason sharing a chair.And here is Ryan and Tyler. It was a great weekend.
